The Corangamite Regional Landfill, located at 605 County Boundary West Road in Naroghid, VIC 3266, is a state-of-the-art facility managed by the Corangamite Shire Council. It operates Monday to Friday from 7 am to 4 pm, Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm, and Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm. The landfill accepts a variety of waste materials, including municipal and industrial waste, green organics, recyclables, and specific items like mattresses, gas bottles, and tyres. Notably, the facility offers free disposal for e-waste, household batteries, steel, and waste motor oil. In 2024, a new 52-tonne TANA H520 Compactor was introduced to enhance waste management efficiency and safety. Additionally, the landfill has been upgraded to support glass recycling, aligning with the Recycling Victoria legislation to separate glass materials by 2027.
