
Cooper Creek Crossing, located approximately 10 kilometers east of Windorah, offers a serene bush camping experience along the banks of the iconic Cooper Creek. The area features spacious, shaded campsites suitable for large rigs, with facilities including toilets on the eastern side of the creek. Visitors can enjoy activities such as fishing for Yellowbelly, canoeing, birdwatching, and swimming in the tranquil waters. Open fires are permitted; however, guests are advised to bring their own firewood. The site is accessible via the Diamantina Developmental Road, just before the bridge over Cooper Creek.
