Located on the Newell Highway in Coonabarabran, the Visitor Information Centre serves as a welcoming hub for travelers exploring the Warrumbungle Region. Visitors can view the Australian Museum's Diprotodon Exhibition, featuring the skeleton and skull of the largest known marsupial, discovered near Tambar Springs in 1979. The centre also showcases local art and the Aboriginal Keeping Place, offering insights into the region's rich cultural heritage. Amenities include public toilets, picnic areas, free barbecues, and a gift shop with local goods. Open daily from 9 am to 5 pm, except Christmas Day.
