Located at the corner of Edwards and John Streets in Coonabarabran, the Memorial Swimming Pool offers a 33-meter outdoor pool, a toddler's pool, playground, and essential amenities including toilets, showers, a BBQ area, and a kiosk. Established in the 1950s as a tribute to those who served in the Second World War, the site features a dedication plaque and an honor roll commemorating local servicemen and women. A Japanese Woodpecker machine gun, captured during combat in New Guinea in 1945, is displayed on-site as a war trophy. The pool is open seasonally, typically from October to April, with specific opening hours for season ticket holders and casual visitors. In July 2024, the Warrumbungle Shire Council secured funding to redevelop the pool, aiming to enhance its facilities and accessibility for the community.
