Polo Flat, NSW

Located at 63 Polo Flat Road in Cooma, New South Wales, the Cooma/Polo Flat (Unlic) Aerodrome is an unlicensed airfield primarily used for recreational flying. Established by 1921, it has a rich aviation history, including a visit by Charles Kingsford Smith. The airfield features two runways: 12/30 and 18/36, each 663 meters long, accommodating various aircraft. Its lower elevation compared to the nearby Cooma–Snowy Mountains Airport makes it less prone to weather-related closures, offering more consistent flying conditions. The site also hosts the Snowy Aviation Academy, providing pilot training services.
