Commonwealth Hill Station

Situated approximately 110 km west of the Stuart Highway, Commonwealth Hill Station spans 513,000 hectares, making it the second-largest sheep station in Australia. The station manages around 30,000 Merino sheep, with 12,000 ewes lambing annually. Operations include mustering via Cessna 172 aircraft and motorcycles, utilizing air-to-ground UHF communication. The homestead operates on 24-hour solar power with a backup generator. Proximity to the Stuart Highway facilitates participation in local events such as the Coober Pedy Races and Glendambo Gymkhana.
