Located in the heart of Holbrook, New South Wales, Commander Holbrook Memorial Park honors Lieutenant Norman Douglas Holbrook, the first submariner to receive the Victoria Cross. The park features a one-fifth scale model of the HMS B11 submarine, commemorating Holbrook's daring 1914 mission in the Dardanelles. Dedicated on 11 September 1971, the memorial was a gift from the Holbrook Apex Club, with assistance from a Captain Cook Bicentenary Government Grant. Adjacent to the park, a bronze statue of Commander Holbrook stands in Germanton Park, further celebrating his legacy.
