Nestled deep within Nymboi-Binderay National Park on the Dorrigo plateau, Cod Hole campground and picnic area offers a secluded riverside retreat surrounded by lush forests. The campground features six marked sites suitable for tents, each equipped with picnic tables, barbecue facilities, a boat ramp, carpark, and non-flush toilets. Visitors can enjoy swimming, paddling, and white-water rafting in the Nymboida River, renowned for its exhilarating rapids. The area is also home to diverse wildlife, including sugar gliders, spotted quolls, and bettongs. Access requires a 4WD vehicle, and it's advisable to check for road closures before visiting. Please note, the campground is currently closed due to damage from ex-tropical cyclone Alfred and is expected to reopen on 27 June 2025.
