
Cockaleechie is a small rural locality on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula, approximately 62 kilometers north of Adelaide and 20 kilometers east of Cummins. With a population of around 79 residents, it offers a tranquil lifestyle amidst expansive farmland. The area is historically significant, having been named after the Cockaleechie Run pastoral lease established in 1860. Notably, former Australian tennis player John Fitzgerald, known as the "Cockaleechie Kid," was raised here. The town's elevation is 115 meters, and it is part of the District Council of Tumby Bay.
