Nestled in the Australian outback near Cobar, the Sound Chapel is a unique sound installation housed within a 1901 water tank. Completed in early 2022, this collaboration between composer Georges Lentz and architect Glenn Murcutt offers an immersive experience, blending music, architecture, art, and nature. The chapel features a 43-hour, four-channel sound art cycle that evolves from mysterious to intense, occasionally reaching complete silence. To access the chapel, visitors must obtain a key from the Great Cobar Museum, leaving a refundable $100 bond.
