Chinaman's Island Nature Reserve, established in 1989, is a revitalized sanctuary along Lake Mulwala's southern shores. Once a degraded area, it now boasts a well-graded walking track suitable for all ages and wheelchairs, accessible year-round. The reserve is home to over 60 native bird species and features a wetland rich in aquatic vegetation, supporting waterbirds like rails, crakes, and bitterns. Visitors can enjoy picnic areas, seating, and interpretive signage along the track. Dogs on leashes are welcome, with waste bags provided at each entry.
