Chewton Fire Station

Chewton Fire Station, located at 1 Mount Street, serves the Chewton community in Victoria's Mount Alexander Shire. As part of the Country Fire Authority (CFA), it responds to approximately 60 emergencies annually, including grass, scrub, and structure fires. The brigade also supports neighboring units during the fire season. In August 2024, Chewton Fire Brigade hosted Dja Dja Wurrung Enterprise DUMAWUL for cultural competency training, fostering a deeper understanding of local Indigenous culture among its members. The brigade is committed to inclusivity and welcomes new members interested in contributing to community safety.
