Nestled along the North Para River in Lyndoch, South Australia, Chateau Yaldara is a historic winery established in 1947 by Hermann Thumm, a European immigrant. The name "Yaldara" means "sparkling" in the local Aboriginal language, reflecting the winery's dedication to producing exceptional sparkling wines. Visitors can explore the estate's rich history through self-guided tours, showcasing bottle tunnels, a museum, and original fortified cellars. The cellar door offers a range of premium wines, including Shiraz, Semillon, and Grenache, crafted from estate-grown grapes. The on-site restaurant provides relaxed all-day dining with a variety of local dishes, complemented by the picturesque riverside setting. Chateau Yaldara is open daily from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, with wine tastings available until 3:30 pm.
