Housed in the historic Centenary Hall, built in 1878, the Centenary Hall Folk Museum showcases Balaklava's rich heritage. The museum features a vast collection of local historical records, photographs, and household items from the early days. Notably, it displays war memorabilia, dental and hospital artifacts—including items related to the first use of penicillin in Australia—and a tribute to Alf Traeger, inventor of the pedal wireless. Operated by the Balaklava Museum Inc., the museum is open on the second and fourth Sunday of each month from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm, with other times available by appointment.
