Nestled along Discovery Drive in Douglas, the Goondaloo Creek Landcare Site is a community-driven conservation area dedicated to restoring the natural creek habitat. Established in January 2010, volunteers have planted numerous native trees, removed invasive species, and implemented erosion control measures. The site offers a serene environment for residents and visitors, enhancing local biodiversity and water quality. Regular community events, such as tree planting sessions, are held on the third Saturday of each month from 8:00 to 10:00 am, inviting all to participate in preserving this vital ecosystem.
