The Carrathool Historic Bridge, completed in 1924, is a heritage-listed timber truss bridge spanning the Murrumbidgee River in Carrathool, New South Wales. Designed by Percy Allan, it features a rare bascule-type lift span, allowing river traffic to pass beneath. This bridge is one of only three bascule lift span bridges remaining in New South Wales and the only one constructed with timber trusses. Although the lift span was last used in the 1930s, the bridge remains a significant historical landmark, reflecting early 20th-century engineering and the region's development.
