Carlton Hill Station, established in 1893 by Patrick and Michael Durack, is a historic cattle station located in Western Australia's Kimberley region. Spanning approximately 3,675 square kilometers, it lies on the lands of the Gajirrawoong and Miriwung peoples. The station is divided by the Ord River, with neighboring Ivanhoe Station also under the Consolidated Pastoral Company. The fertile alluvial flats and black soil plains support rich stands of couch and buffel, making it ideal for grazing. Carlton Hill Station can support 50,000 head of cattle, including 18,000 Brahman breeders, and annually exports 9,000 steers to Asia and the Middle East. In August 2016, the station was sold to Chinese property developers Shanghai Zhongfu, trading in Australia as Kimberley Agricultural Investment, while Consolidated Pastoral Company continues its cattle production operations on the property.
