The Carcoar Rural Fire Brigade, located at 4 Icely Street, Carcoar, NSW 2791, serves a 131-square-kilometre area encompassing the historic village of Carcoar. Established in 2002, the brigade operates from a modern station that serves as the hub for its activities. The brigade is equipped with Category 1, Category 7, and Category 9 tankers, enabling it to respond effectively to various emergencies, including bushfires and vehicle incidents. As one of only two Compressed Air Breathing Apparatus (CABA) brigades in the Canobolas zone, it provides specialized support to neighboring brigades during major incidents. The brigade also plays a role in protecting the Carcoar Dam area, which attracts high visitation during summer months. Additionally, the brigade is involved in community events, such as hosting a popular BBQ at the Carcoar Fire Station during the Carcoar Village Fair.
