Cape Woolamai State Faunal Reserve, covering 308 hectares on Phillip Island's southeastern tip, offers diverse coastal landscapes, including rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, and dry coastal scrub. The area is also known for its surfing spots and is a significant part of the National Surfing Reserve. Additionally, Cape Woolamai is home to the largest colony of short-tailed shearwaters on Phillip Island, with thousands of these birds nesting in the area between September and April.
