Canyon picnic area

Nestled in Warrumbungle National Park, the Canyon Picnic Area offers a fully accessible, family-friendly spot for relaxation and recreation. Located near the visitor centre, it features picnic tables and free gas/electric barbecues. The area is mostly flat with step-free access, including a concrete path from the carpark to the amenities. While water isn't available on-site, visitors can enjoy a short walk downstream along Wambelong Creek, where they might encounter woodland birds or a lounging koala. On warm days, dipping toes in the cool creek water provides a refreshing experience.
