Nestled along the Mann River in Cangai, this free campground offers a serene riverside setting ideal for camping, fishing, and canoeing. Accessible via Cangai Bridge Road, the site is approximately 2 km from the Gwydir Highway. While the road is unsealed and marked as unsuitable for caravans, many have successfully accessed the campground with caravans. The area features a large open field between the Mann River and a creek, providing ample space for campers. Please note, there are no facilities available; campers must be self-sufficient and pack out all rubbish. Dogs are permitted, and campfires are allowed, subject to local regulations. Be aware that the area is subject to flooding and may be impassable during certain conditions.
