Nestled along the serene Wambelong Creek within Warrumbungle National Park, Camp Wambelong offers 35 unpowered campsites suitable for tents, camper trailers, and caravans. The campground provides picnic tables, wood barbecues (BYO firewood), and non-flush toilets. It's an ideal base for exploring three walking tracks: Belougery Split Rock circuit, Burbie Canyon walking track, and Mount Exmouth walking track. Wildlife enthusiasts can spot kangaroos, wallabies, and listen to the calls of pobblebonk frogs. Fishing and yabbying are permitted in the creek. Please note, there are no marked sites, and the campground is remote; visitors should arrive well-prepared.
