
Located in Mount Murchison, Queensland, Callide Power Station comprises two coal-fired plants: Callide B and Callide C. Callide B, commissioned in 1988, has a capacity of 700 MW, while Callide C, operational since 2001, boasts a capacity of 844 MW. Together, they generate a combined 1,544 MW of electricity. The station employs approximately 263 staff and sources up to 5.8 million tonnes of black coal annually from the adjacent Callide Mine. Situated on the traditional lands of the Gangulu people, Callide Power Station plays a pivotal role in Queensland's energy landscape.
