
Calgardup Cave, located 15 km south of Margaret River in Western Australia, offers a captivating self-guided caving experience. Visitors descend 27 meters into the cave, traversing a 300-meter path equipped with boardwalks, stairs, and handrails. The cave showcases stunning formations, including stalactites, stalagmites, and flowstone, illuminated by torchlight. A seasonal underground lake reflects these formations, creating mesmerizing visuals. The Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park Information Centre, situated at the cave, provides valuable information on local attractions and activities. Open daily from 9:00 am to 4:15 pm, except on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Entry fees apply, with helmets and torches provided for the self-guided tours.
