Nestled in Edge Hill, Cairns Botanic Gardens is a tropical haven showcasing a diverse collection of plants from Southeast Asia, South America, Africa, and Far North Queensland. The Flecker Gardens, established in 1886, feature lush rainforest groves with towering palms and vibrant orchids. Visitors can explore the Gondwanan Evolution Garden, Centenary Lakes, and the Zhanjiang Friendship Garden. The Gardens offer free admission and are open daily from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. The Visitor Centre operates from 8:30 am to 4 pm on weekdays and 9:30 am to 2 pm on weekends and public holidays. On-site amenities include picnic areas, walking trails, and cafés. Wheelchair and pram access is available in most areas. The Gardens are located at 78-96 Collins Avenue, Edge Hill, with on-street parking along Collins Avenue and Greenslopes Street.
