Nestled in the picturesque Cadia Valley, the Cadia Engine House stands as a testament to Australia's mining heritage. Constructed between 1865 and 1867, this stone and brick structure once housed a Cornish beam engine, pivotal in early copper mining operations. The engine's 25-inch cylinder and 10-ton boiler powered essential machinery, including pumps and crushers. Today, the site offers a glimpse into 19th-century mining technology, with remnants of the engine, crusher house, and chimney still visible. Recognized for its national significance, the Cadia Engine House is listed on the New South Wales State Heritage Register.
