Stretching 22 kilometers along Broome's coastline, Cable Beach is renowned for its pristine white sands and clear turquoise waters. The beach is named after the telegraph cable laid between Broome and Java in 1889. Visitors can enjoy activities such as swimming, surfing, and four-wheel driving on the northern stretch. Sunset camel rides offer a unique way to experience the breathtaking views. Gantheaume Point, at the southern end, features ancient dinosaur footprints and a lighthouse ideal for whale watching. The area is also home to Minyirr Park, a coastal reserve with walking trails through red ochre dunes. Lifeguards are on duty from May to October, ensuring a safe environment for beachgoers.
