Nestled in East Gippsland, Cabbage Tree Creek Flora Reserve is a 1,700-hectare sanctuary protecting Victoria's only population of Cabbage Fan Palms. Established in 1871, this reserve offers a unique glimpse into subtropical flora within a temperate climate. Visitors can enjoy the Cabbage Palm Walking Track, a 1-kilometre loop through lush rainforest, home to over 120 bird species, including lyrebirds, rose robins, and rufous fantails. The area also features picnic facilities and an information board, making it an ideal spot for nature enthusiasts and birdwatchers.
