The Burra Mine Open Air Museum showcases the extensive remains of Australia's largest metal mine, operational from 1845 to 1877. Visitors can explore the preserved mining structures, including the Engine-house Museum, the only reconstructed Cornish engine-house globally. The museum offers guided tours by arrangement, along with books and souvenirs for purchase. Admission is $5 or included with the Burra Heritage Passport, available at the Burra Visitor Centre. The museum operates daily from 9 am to 5 pm.
