Stretching approximately 200 kilometers along the Great Australian Bight, the Bunda Cliffs form the southern edge of the Nullarbor Plain. These towering limestone cliffs, rising up to 120 meters above sea level, were formed when Australia separated from Antarctica around 65 million years ago. Visitors can access several designated lookouts along the Eyre Highway, offering breathtaking views of the cliffs and the Southern Ocean. The area is also renowned for whale watching between June and October, as Southern Right Whales migrate to the region to calve. Camping along the cliffs is not permitted due to safety concerns, but alternative camping options are available nearby.
