Located in the former Court House at Alonnah, the Bruny Island History Room serves as a central repository for the Bruny History Collection. Established in 1997, it offers a wealth of information on the island's past, including Aboriginal history, early European exploration, and local industries. The collection features documents, photographs, family histories, and artifacts, with subjects arranged alphabetically for easy access. Open Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm, the History Room is staffed by dedicated volunteers who assist visitors in exploring their family's Bruny roots or researching historical information about properties.
