
Brown Mountain, standing at 1,243 meters, is the highest peak in the Monaro region of New South Wales. Situated in the Kybeyan Range, part of the Great Dividing Range, it offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. The mountain is accessible via an unsealed road that adjoins the Snowy Mountains Highway, approximately 230 meters below the summit. Its proximity to the village of Nimmitabel, about 13 kilometers away, and the village of Bemboka, approximately 17 kilometers distant, makes it a notable landmark in the area.
