Broken Bay Pearl Farm, nestled along the picturesque Lower Hawkesbury River in Mooney Mooney, is New South Wales' only operating pearl farm. Visitors can explore the Shellar Door, a revitalized oyster shed, to discover locally grown Akoya pearls and browse a selection of pearl jewelry and Indigenous artwork. Guided tours offer insights into the pearl farming process, including immersive pearl grading sessions and oyster shucking demonstrations. Guests can also savor freshly shucked local oysters while enjoying scenic views of Spectacle Island. The farm operates Tuesday to Sunday, with extended hours during NSW school holidays.
