Established over 40 years ago, Broadmeadows Women's Community House offers a supportive environment for women and children to develop their strengths and confidence. The team, including qualified social workers and community development workers fluent in Arabic, Assyrian-Chaldean, Turkish, and English, fosters strong community relationships. Services include supported group activities, parenting and lifestyle support, social gatherings, and connections to other agencies. English conversation classes for refugee and migrant women focus on practical language skills for daily life and employment. The Women's Wellbeing Circle provides a safe space for women to meet, share stories, and engage in craft activities. Family violence groups assist women in assessing needs, setting goals, and discussing safety concerns. Childcare and transport are available for certain groups.
