Bridges

Bridges is a rural locality in Queensland's Sunshine Coast Region, offering a serene environment with a population of approximately 295 residents. The area is characterized by a mix of rural residential properties, grazing lands, and crop cultivation. Geographically, Bridges is bordered to the southeast by the North Maroochy River and is traversed by the Bruce Highway and the North Coast railway line, providing convenient access to neighboring towns. The locality is named after the Bridges railway station, which was named in honor of Sir William Throsby Bridges, the Commander of the First Australian Imperial Force in 1914.
