The Bribie Beach Access Track, located on the Esplanade in Woorim, Queensland, provides a 4WD route through Bribie Island National Park, leading to the eastern Ocean Beach. This track offers access to designated camping areas, including Poverty Creek, Gallaghers Point, and Ocean Beach, each providing unique coastal experiences. To drive on the beach, a Vehicle Permit is required, obtainable from the Bongaree Caravan Park or the national parks website. Please note that only registered 4WD or 6WD vehicles are permitted; 2WD vehicles and motorbikes are not allowed. Driving on sand dunes is prohibited to protect the environment. It's advisable to deflate tires to 18-20 psi for easier driving on soft sand. Be cautious of high tides, as they can render parts of the beach inaccessible; avoid driving on the beach two hours before or after high tide. Camping permits are required and can be purchased from the Bongaree Caravan Park or the Queensland Department of Environment and Resource Management website. Generators are not permitted, and visitors should bring their own firewood. Wildlife such as kangaroos, wallabies, dingoes, and emus are commonly seen at dawn or dusk.
