
Briaba is a rural locality in Queensland's Whitsunday Region, situated approximately 74.71 kilometers west of Proserpine and 53.32 kilometers southwest of Merinda. The area is characterized by its mountainous terrain, including peaks such as Mount Bella Vista, Mount Devlin, and Mount Toussaint. The majority of the southern boundary aligns with the Bowen River, and the Sonoma State Forest covers 8,800 hectares in the northeast of Briaba. The locality is sparsely populated, with a population of 39 people as of the last census.
