Established in December 2005, Breelong National Park spans 6,970 hectares in New South Wales. It features over two kilometers of frontage along the Castlereagh River, making it the only NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) park situated on this river. Visitors can explore well-maintained old forestry roads, offering opportunities to observe local flora and fauna in their natural habitat. Access is via signposted routes from Dubbo, with the main road to Balladoran being rough and occasionally potholed. The park is approximately 42 kilometers north-north-east of Dubbo.
