The Bourke Abattoir, located approximately 14 kilometers north of Bourke, NSW, is a state-of-the-art facility specializing in the processing of goats and sheep. Established with a $60 million investment, it boasts a daily processing capacity of up to 6,000 head. The plant is designed for both skin-on and skin-off production, catering to domestic and export markets. In September 2022, under the ownership of Thomas Foods International, the abattoir resumed operations, aiming to process around 3,000 head per day, with plans to expand to full capacity.
