Boral's Currabubula Quarry, operational since 1996, is a key supplier of Andesite rock aggregates for concrete, sealing, road base, and fill. Located 20 kilometers from Tamworth in the village of Currabubula, the quarry produces up to 400,000 tonnes of Andesite annually, with eight permitted blasts each year. It offers a range of rock aggregates from 3 to 20mm, with typical blast volumes of 70,000 tonnes. The quarry spans approximately 22 hectares, with an approved extraction area of 11 hectares, and the remaining 600-hectare site provides a substantial buffer to neighboring properties.
