Established in 1904, Boorganna Nature Reserve is the second-oldest in New South Wales, located on the southern edge of Comboyne Plateau. The reserve protects a significant remnant of rainforest, which once covered the entire landscape. Visitors can enjoy bushwalking through diverse vegetation, including six types of rainforest, ranging from eucalypt forest to luxuriant subtropical rainforest. The area is home to approximately 85 bird species and unique wildlife such as long-nosed potoroos, parma wallabies, and yellow-bellied gliders. A highlight is the Rawson Falls walk, leading to a 40-meter high waterfall with a tranquil plunge pool.
