Bondar Wines

Bondar Wines, established in 2013 by husband-and-wife team Andre Bondar and Selina Kelly, crafts distinctive wines from McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills. Their home is the renowned Rayner Vineyard, situated on the border of the Blewitt Springs and Seaview sub-regions of McLaren Vale. The vineyard, with vines dating back to the 1950s, is managed organically and certified under the Sustainable Winegrowing Australia program. Bondar's vision is to produce wines that are bright, structured, mid-weight, yet concentrated in flavor, with a savory element. The winemaking process emphasizes minimal chemical inputs, utilizing techniques such as whole bunches, extended time on skins, and early fruit picking to achieve balanced, bright wines. The cellar door, shared with boutique producers Lino Ramble and Sherrah Wines, offers an intimate tasting experience in a historic 19th-century stone cottage. Open seven days a week, it provides a welcoming space to explore Bondar's modern take on McLaren Vale wines.
