The BMA Peak Downs Mine Site Access Centre, located in Winchester, Queensland, serves as the operational hub for the Peak Downs Mine, a significant open-cut coking coal mine in the Bowen Basin. Established in 1972, the mine produces approximately 37 million tonnes of coal annually. The Site Access Centre coordinates various mining activities, including overburden removal and coal extraction, utilizing a fleet of draglines, trucks, and shovels. Coal produced here is transported to the Hay Point Coal Terminal near Mackay for export.
