Nestled in the High Plains area of Kosciuszko National Park, Blue Waterholes Campground offers a serene retreat for nature enthusiasts. Accessible via unsealed roads, the campground is approximately 25 km from the Snowy Mountains Highway turnoff. It features non-flush toilets, picnic tables, and wood barbecues (BYO firewood). The campground is typically closed from June to October long weekends; it's advisable to check current conditions before visiting. A $6 booking fee applies, though camping is free. Nearby attractions include the Clarke Gorge and Nichols Gorge walking tracks, as well as historic huts in the Northern Plains and Wilderness area. The campground is a great spot to paddle your feet and enjoy a picnic on a hot summer's day, as kangaroos cast a curious eye and eagles soar overhead.
