Binghi Station, located approximately 4.5 hours from Brisbane and 1.5 hours west of Tenterfield, offers a unique off-grid camping experience across 4,000 acres of natural granite rock country and lush tea tree bushlands. Once a large sheep station and a thriving tin and gem mine from the late 1800s to mid-1900s, the property now provides opportunities to explore secret hideouts, swim under flowing waterfalls, and stargaze in pristine outback skies. Access is recommended by 4WD only, as the 6 km driveway is rugged and bumpy due to recent heavy rainfall. The Secret Gorge site is suited to tents, camper trailers, and smaller caravans, while other sites accommodate off-road 4WD caravans and camper trailers.
