The Bicentennial Conservatory, designed by South Australian architect Guy Maron, is the largest single-span conservatory in the Southern Hemisphere. Located within the Adelaide Botanic Garden, it houses a lush collection of lowland rainforest plants from northern Australia, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, and the Pacific Islands. Visitors can explore the undulating forest floor via a lower walkway or ascend into the canopy along an upper walkway, both fully wheelchair accessible. The conservatory's distinctive curvilinear design has become a landmark in Adelaide.
