
The Berri Barmera Council, located in South Australia's Riverland region, serves a community of approximately 10,500 residents across an area of 50,845 hectares. Established in 1996 through the amalgamation of the District Council of Berri and the District Council of Barmera, the council is responsible for a range of services, including the maintenance of 485 kilometers of roads, management of 54.214 hectares of irrigated land, operation of two libraries, and upkeep of the State Heritage-listed Bonney Theatre and a Visitor Information Centre.
