Established in 1974, the Bengali Association of New South Wales (BANSW) is a non-profit, charitable, and cultural organization dedicated to promoting Bengali language, literature, music, history, and culture within the diverse community of NSW. Over the years, BANSW has grown from a small group to a vibrant community, organizing a variety of events that celebrate Bengali heritage. These include Durga Puja, Bijoya, Saraswati Puja, Annual Sporting Carnival, Bengali New Year’s Day, Rabindra Jayanti, and Annual Dinner and Drama. The association is managed by an Executive Committee elected annually, ensuring the continuity and growth of its cultural initiatives.
