Bendeela Recreation Area

Nestled in natural bushland along the banks of the Kangaroo River arm of Lake Yarrunga, Bendeela Recreation Area offers a rustic camping and picnic experience just outside Kangaroo Valley. The area features unpowered campsites, toilets, and drinking water. Activities include fishing, swimming, bushwalking, canoeing, and non-powered boating. Please note, wood, charcoal, or solid fuel barbecues are prohibited; portable gas barbecues are permitted except during total fire bans. Camping sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis and require advance booking. The area may be closed during times of flooding or when Tallowa Dam is spilling.
