Ben Prior Park, located on Bayley Street in Coolgardie, is a free open-air museum named after its founder, Benjamin Austin Prior. In 1932, Prior arrived in Coolgardie with his wife and five children, establishing a garage adjacent to the park. Over the years, he amassed a diverse collection of mining and farming equipment, vintage cars, and statues, many crafted by his son, Eric. The park showcases rare mining artifacts dating back to 1894, reflecting Coolgardie's rich gold rush history. Visitors can explore the restored exhibits, including a replica bank, and enjoy the nature playground and picnic facilities. The park is open daily from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.
